Park Hae-min (34) became the new captain of the LG Twins 2025 season of professional baseball.
Park Hae-min, who attended the LG fan event "Love Giving Day" held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 16th, said, "I feel more responsible because my fellow players selected me as captain," adding, "I will play a good role by inheriting the culture created by (Oh) Ji-hwan or (Kim) Hyun-soo, who were captains before."
After the 2021 season when he was the captain of the Samsung Lions, he became a free agent (FA) and moved to LG, and in his fourth year of wearing the LG uniform, he will show leadership as a 'twin corps' captain.
Park Hae-min, who will become a FA again at the end of the 2025 season, replied, "The captain may be burdened or bothered in the FA season, but I also had experience in Samsung's FA season," adding, "I didn't think it was 'I won't make a captain because I became a FA' with my individual at the forefront."
Park Hae-min hit a batting average of 0.289 in 2022, the first season of LG's transfer, and also hit a batting average of 0.285 in 2023, when the team reached the top of the Korean Series.
However, this year, it fell to a batting average of 0.263, making it difficult for me to be satisfied personally.
"In terms of grades, 2019 and this year were the most difficult seasons," Park Hae-min said, positively accepting, "I still learn something in the process."
He stayed at a batting average of 0.239 in 2019 when he was in Samsung, but he rebounded to 0.290 in 2020.
"I don't want to make excuses for my grades this year, I want to accept them as they are," he said, "and I can do well next year."
Park Hae-min, who played in all games for three consecutive seasons after moving to LG, said, "I'm greedy to play in all games next year, but I have to get good results first," adding, "It's actually shameful in a way to play in all games with the same performance this year."
"Still, it was a little upward as we revised our batting posture at the end of this season in September, so we can look forward to next season," Park Hae-min said positively. "If we prepare well in the off-season, we are confident that we will not achieve the same results this year in the 2025 season."

Park Hae-min said, "I'm reassured that a good pitcher becomes a teammate," adding, "I've also moved and come to LG, so I'll help you adapt well to the team."
Regarding his goal for the 2025 season, Park said, "We will have to hit a batting average of around 300, and increase his on-base percentage a little more." Park's batting average of .300 season was once in 2016.
